These photographs are part of a selection from over a thousand images I captured with my Nikon D5100 during the year I lived in Sweden. My initial goal was to familiarise myself with my DSLR and, above all, to enjoy the process — and I truly did.

I was deeply surprised and grateful when, during the exhibition of this selection back in Spain, which I had intended simply as a showcase, prints of almost every photo were purchased. More than the income, it was the pride and encouragement from those who supported my work that meant the most.

Since then, I have continued to sell copies (numbered from 1 to 10, signed by hand, A3 size, and delivered with a subtle frame) and these photographs now decorate the homes of many wonderful people.

All of thesse are photos that I take with my phone.

I take them mostly to have fun, but they are also some of the best references that I use for my works.

I shoot things that I see every day, mundane things that can be really pleasant to watch from the right perspective.

Sometimes it is just the composition, lines and shapes that make the image attractive to me. Another times it is the colour, or the way light interacts with the environment creating interesting effects.

I don't apply any effect or filter to this photos, neither to the ones taken with my DSLR. I only sometimes crop or zoom some of them.
